Congratulations Jodi Lawson
August 2009 Employee of the Month
His calm demeanor and kind attitude toward patients and staff are reasons co-workers selected Jodie Lawson, Inpatient Mental Health Senior Staff Nurse, our August Employee of the Month. “Jodie is a wonderful nurse because he helps ALL the staff whenever they need it,” said one fellow worker.
“He is extremely approachable and friendly. We believe that he truly cares about our safety and well being.” Maryann Wilcox, R.N., Inpatient Mental Health Nurse Manager stated, “Jodie 'always' shows acts of caring and concern for patients and staff alike. He goes above and beyond in filling-in whenever there is a need and he 'always' does it with a infectious smile and positive attitude. An excellent resource for our program, Jodie is an inspiration to staff and the perfect example of a true leader.”
One nominee wrote, “We all agree that Jodie makes our job 100 percent easier and his smile and fun loving personality adds to the enjoyment of our day.” Nominations went on to say that Jodie exemplifies the qualities of care and compassion that are valued by WCA. “He is one of the best nurses I have been in contact with at this hospital,” said one co-worker.
A member of the WCA family since 1988, our colleague say it is the little things that count. “No matter what the patient's medical issues may be, Jodie seems to anticipate what they need with grace and compassion.” Thank you, Jodie, for being such a vital part of our healthcare team.
