Visionary leadership recognizes and learns from the past, understands and leads by example in the present, and proactively and strategically plans for the future. Such leadership has been and is the case for WCA Hospital.
WCA Hospital has been blessed by the visionary leadership of many dedicated men and women throughout its rich history. In honor of some of these leaders, in 2010, on the occasion of WCA Hospital’s 125th anniversary, WCA unveiled The President’s Circle.
To become a member of The President’s Circle, an individual, couple, business, or organization must make a lasting commitment to financially support WCA Hospital (The Woman’s Christian Association of Jamestown, N.Y.) or the W.C.A. Foundation, Inc. through loyal annual giving. As members of the President’s Circle, donors pledge to give a minimum amount each calendar year. These gifts can be designated by the donor for a specific campaign, program, or fund from year-to-year.
The President’s Circle has six levels of annual giving. Each level (or Circle) is named for a former President of WCA Hospital (years of Presidential service in parentheses). These are six visionary women who advanced the care and services offered by our historic community hospital.

| $1,000 - $2,499 | Gifford Circle | In Honor of Josephine Fenton Gifford (1908-1928) |
| $2,500 - $4,999 | Hall Circle | In Honor of Felicia Grace Hall (1940-1956) |
| $5,000 - $7,499 | Livengood Circle | In Honor of Julia Sheldon Livengood (1956-1967) |
| $7,500 - $9,999 | Sanctuary Circle | In Honor of Eleanor Graves Sanctuary (1967-1973) |
| $10,000+ | Taylor Circle | In Honor of Elizabeth Garratt Taylor (1973-1981) |
Members of The President’s Circle will receive special benefits such as:
- Invitation to annual recognition event hosted by WCA as well as other special events
- Recognition in the WCA Annual Report and other appropriate publications
- Recognition on the WCA Honor Roll of Donors on display within the hospital
