BOSEK NAMED HOST OF WOMEN’S HEALTH SHOW
Jamestown, New York (Thursday, August 28, 2008)— WCA Hospital ushers in a new era in healthcare news broadcasting with the recent announcement of new television host for the WCA Women’s Health Show, Mary Bosek. The health show is a half-hour medical program produced by WCA Hospital. The show airs Monday through Friday, 8 p.m., Time Warner Cable,
Bosek, Director of Case Management at WCA Hospital and health care promoter, follows in the footsteps of long-time host, Ann Abdella.
Launched in 1995, the WCA Women’s Health Show offers a broad range of health information. The show’s mission is to enhance the health of the community by featuring health information relating to diseases, health issues, prevention, modern medical solutions, hospital business news, and interviews with prominent physicians, specialists, hospital leaders, and other local leaders from the community.

Bosek, a licensed Clinical Social Worker, received her Master of Social Work from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Science from State University College of New York at Fredonia. Past member of the Adjunct Faculty for the University of Buffalo, School of Social Work and Jamestown Community College Human Services Department, Ms. Bosek brings over 20 years of healthcare knowledge to her new position.
Using an interview format to address health topics, the show reports the health news on topics including: heart care, cancer care, women and men’s health, orthopedic care, fitness, diet and weight loss, emergency medicine, special hospital feature stories and hot health topics. WCA offers some of the most sophisticated forms of surgical and diagnostic advancements available in the region and new show on-site production changes incorporate “live news footage” from WCA, delivering an authentic and up-close look at the latest resources available at WCA from the comfort of the viewer’s living room.
The Women’s Health Show approaching show line-up includes, “What You Need To Know About Ovarian Cancer”, with featured Guest Physician, Nancy Allen, M.D., Obstetrician/Gynecologist, airing in September. Viewers are introduced to the new Center For Imaging & Medical Arts at WCA, “A Truly Unique Approach To Outpatient Care”, with featured Guests, Betsy T. Wright, WCA Hospital President/CEO; and Guest Physician, Lyndon Gritters, M.D., Radiologist, airing in October.
Mary lives in Jamestown with her husband, Scott Gould. When she isn't in the studio or at work, she loves to spend time skiing, traveling and golfing.
