WCA HONORS 140 EMPLOYEES FOR

Jamestown, New York, June 6, 2008—One hundred and forty employees were honored for their years of service at the 48th WCA Hospital Annual Employee Recognition Dinner held on Wednesday, May 14th at Chautauqua Suites and Conference Center in Mayville, New York. Mary Beth Carlson, L.P.N., Joyce Devine, Registered Nurse and Ronald Lorenc, Environmental Services Attendant were honored for reaching a service milestone of 40 years.
“The employee recognition dinner is all about celebration, dedication and commitment,” said Betsy T. Wright, WCA Hospital President/CEO.
“This event is important to all of us. Employees, members of the board of directors, medical staff and management team have come together this evening to recognize the important role you play in the successful functioning of WCA Hospital. It is my privilege to be here and I welcome the opportunity to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to each of you. Our physicians, our staff, and most importantly, our patients, thank you for your continued support, compassion and commitment to your community and to our patients.”
The invocation was given by Steven Kilburn, member of the WCA Hospital Board of Directors. Hospital board members introduced distinguished honorees. Brenda Ireland, board member, paid tribute to the twelve newest Employees of the Month. Special personal video messages from the 25, 30, 35 and 40-year honorees concluded the evening ceremony.
“You have been responsible for providing superior quality care to our patients in a challenging health care climate,” said Mrs. Judith Burgett, newly appointed WCA Hospital Board of Directors Chair. “You have done so with a high level of professionalism, loyalty and work ethic for which we are sincerely grateful and proud. You are the people we know, trust and believe in and we sincerely thank you.”
