WCA ANNOUNCES GRAND OPENING
OF NEW CENTER
Center For Imaging & Medical Arts At WCA
Jamestown, New York—(Monday, October 20, 2008)—WCA Hospital will hold a grand opening and open house of their new Center For Imaging & Medical Arts At WCA on Thursday, October 30th, 5:30 – 8 p.m. A ribbon cutting ceremony at 6 p.m. will commemorate the opening. The public is invited to attend; admission is free.
The Center is located behind the main campus of WCA Hospital, located at 207 Foote Avenue, Jamestown. General and handicap parking is available off Allen Street in (designated yellow lot).
Healthy cooking demonstrations, entertainment, refreshments, complimentary gifts and a community healthcare exhibit will headline the festivities. Physicians and staff will tour guests through the first floor of the Center which houses the Women’s Imaging & Mammography Suite, Ultrasound services, PET/CT Imaging, MRI Imaging, Bone Densitometry Testing (DEXA), Interventional Radiology Consulting Offices, and a centralized outpatient laboratory.
Local Harpist, Kent Knappenberger, will perform during the celebration.
The healthcare exhibit will educate and inform participants about the various agencies and services available at the Center and locally. Area health partners at the grand opening will include: the Chautauqua County Health Network, the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen Run For The Cure, Partners For Prevention, offering low cost/no cost mammograms, the Jamestown Breast Care Support Group, together with other community health agencies will join the exhibit.

We invite the community to tour the Center during our open house and experience, first-hand the pleasant surroundings that await consumers.”
An 11,000 square foot outpatient complex, the new Center For Imaging & Medical Arts At WCA combines leading-edge diagnostic imaging technology with women’s imaging and breast health services, and outpatient lab services. Staffed by a sophisticated team of highly-skilled and board certified radiologists and licensed and certified technologists and support staff, the Center extends its personalized approach to care by offering consumers quick turnaround test results and flexible appointment scheduling.
Many of the imaging options offered at the Center For Imaging are centered on women’s health needs. “We realize that coming in for a mammogram is a potentially stressful event,” states Lyndon Gritters, M.D., board certified radiologist on staff at WCA, and chief physician liaison for the project. “Because we want our patients to have a positive experience, we have worked to make the Center For Imaging a comforting place to receive life-saving screenings. The complex is patient-friendly and furthers our goal to offer same day mammogram screening results. By coupling WCA’s comprehensive diagnostic solutions with the growing demand for breast health, we expect to set the standard of care for women in the Chautauqua County and surrounding regions for years to come.”
The Center For Imaging & Medical Arts At WCA complex includes medical offices on the second floor and the hospital’s Clinical Laboratory located on the third floor.
