KAREN L. BOHALL NAMED DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES AT WCA
Jamestown, New York (date t.b.a.)—WCA Hospital, Southwestern New York’s largest not-for-profit health care provider, today announced it has appointed Karen L. Bohall, as its Director of Human Resources. Karen will have overall responsibility for the planning and direction of a broad spectrum of human resources strategies in support of WCA’s mission and vision.
Bohall brings over 30 years of solid human resources management to her new position. Prior to being named director, she served as interim director of human resources at WCA. Mrs. Bohall’s career includes extensive experience in the human resources field with expansive knowledge in employment recruiting and retention, employment orientation and training, employee relations, statistical reporting, and policy development.

Wright, President/CEO at WCA Hospital. “Karen brings a wealth of human resources expertise to her new position and she will be an asset to our administrative and management leadership and staff at WCA. In her new post, Bohall will oversee all facets of human resources management for approximately 1,300 employees including, implementing policies and procedures, recruitment activities, staff and leadership development, strategic planning, human resources operations, as well as, employee relations, and compensation and benefits.
Karen joined WCA Hospital in 1983 and has held multiple positions in Human Resources prior to her recent promotion. A recognized leader in the human resources field, she is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) - the world’s largest professional association devoted to human resource management - and member of the local New York/Pennsylvania SHRM group. She served on school board at Maple Grove Jr./Sr. High School in Bemus Point, New York, for six years and was a member and Past-President of the Parents Teacher Association (PTA) at the former Fluvanna Elementary School, in Jamestown, New York.

Karen resides in Bemus Point, New York, with husband, Reynold, and has three grown children, Justin, Brooks, and Christina and two granddaughters, Allison and Lily.
