An after-school and weekend activity program under the musical direction of John Cross, Infinity provides Chautauqua County students the opportunity to learn a musical instrument (including voice) and to perform and record songs. The Infinity Learning Lab is located prominently on East Third Street in downtown Jamestown. The lab consists of a large rehearsal and recording stage that is raised several inches from the floor. A keyboard, drum kit, microphone stands and several guitars are scattered on the stage. Most of the funding for the program comes from donations and grants. Today, Infinity serves over 100 county-wide students.

Bill Ward has performed acoustically for almost three decades throughout the Eastern United States. The Wind River is a bluegrass band comprised of local musical talent, including Vern Ahlgren (banjo), Pat Corey (guitar), Steve Strom (mandolin), and Don Strom (bass). Wind River has shared the stage with Ronda Vincent, Vassar Clements, The Doerfels, as well as Bill Ward and Amanda Barton at the Mayville Bluegrass Festival. For the past five years, Wind River has been the host band for annual fundraising events for the St. Susan Center and other area community events.

Inside, the WCA Hospital Auditorium will feature live comedy. From 12:15 p.m. and 2:15 p.m., The Unexpected Guests, a local improvisational comedy troupe, will entertain the public. So, what can you expect from The Unexpected Guests? Well, that’s up to the audience. The scenes are all based on audience suggestions. At 1:15, WCA Hospital employee Diane Marlatt assumes the personality of her alter ego, “Maude”, who is sure to make you laugh.
