WCA MATERNITY RECEIVES GRANTS & GIFTS FOR NEW RECLINERS

Jamestown, New York (Tuesday, February 5, 2010)—The WCA Hospital Maternity department recently received grants from the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation and the W.C.A. Foundation, Inc. These grants, along with several individual gifts, were used to help purchase sixteen new recliners for Maternity through Mazany Office Interiors of Jamestown.
Donna Barber, WCA Maternity Center OB Coordinator, is thankful for the addition of the new recliners. She explains, “Our recliners had served us well, but definitely needed to be replaced. These new recliners are comfortable, stain resistant, and should improve the experience for our patients and their families for the next several years. We are extremely grateful to the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, the W.C.A. Foundation, and our donor family for their generosity.”
The WCA Hospital Maternity department houses four Labor & Delivery rooms, nine Post-Partum rooms, and three Gynelogical Rooms. Each private room is now equipped with a new recliner for the comfort and rest of patients and family members. In Labor & Delivery, these recliners often serve as beds when family members remain with expectant mothers overnight.
If you are interested in creating an Endowed Fund to support the future of WCA Hospital, or would like to make a tax-deductible gift to support a current need, please contact Karl Sisson, WCA Director of Development, at (716) 664-8423 or visit www.wcahospital.org. |
