Press Release Photo

JAMESTOWN, NY (Friday, September 9, 2016)—Russell R. Diethrick Jr. Park Stadium, baseball field, coaches, managers, and players, were embellished in the color pink signifying support for local residents who have fought the brave fight against breast cancer. The special Pink the Park event, sponsored by UNIVERA alongside WCA Hospital, encouraged area breast cancer survivors to join them on the baseball field prior to the start of the game for a special honorary tribute to their survivorship. Linda Edington, local breast cancer survivor Jamestown Jammers patient ambassador, threw out the ceremonial first pitch. From left to right are, baseball players, Trevor Simon, Matt Franco, Jake Hammon, Megan Barone, WCA Director of Development and event faciliator; Christ Conley, and Bradley Griggs. Watch for dates and times for the 2017 schedule and June 5th Season Opener. For more information on Jamestown Jammers baseball, visit
