Recreation Therapy is designed to help people of all ages with physical, mental or social challenges. Our goal is to help our patients reach their highest level of independence by creating a care plan that is specific to their individual needs. We stress the importance of leisure activities in a healthy lifestyle. We assist with planning for discharge and helping those who are returning to community activities. We also offer Pet Therapy and Horticultural Therapy to inpatients on the Medical Rehabilitation Unit. Our program is supervised by a Certified Recreation Therapist through the NCTRC.
