Continued Education – JCC
Associate in Applied Science
WCA has an arrangement with Jamestown Community College whereby a student may take a course at JCC and be eligible for an Associate in Applied Science Degree after passing the Registry examination. This will be accomplished, in part, by the granting of 30 college credits for the technical supporting core and 30 credits through a general education core acquired at the community college.
Candidates for the A.S.S. Degree must earn at least 30 credit hours in course work from the liberal arts and sciences and meet the following distribution requirements.

|Students must complete at least two courses in the social sciences. Recommended courses are:
PSY 151: General Psychology I
PHY 152: General Psychology II
PSY 251: Life Span Development
SOC 151: Introduction to Sociology
|Successful completion of Regents Course II or equivalent in high school or MAT 151: College Algebra or higher at JCC is requirement for graduation.|
BIO 171: Personal Health and Safety
ENG 156: English for Careers
CSC 151: Introduction to Computer Science
PHL 265: Contemporary Ethical Problems
SOC 255: Social Dynamics of Illness
Only after program completions will a student receive 30 credits toward the A.A.S. degree.
