The Center For Imaging & Medical Arts At WCA delivers the latest ultrasound technology with the uniquely compassionate approach, provided by highly-skilled, board certified Radiologists and licensed Radiologic Technologists.  Ultrasound is a device that uses sound waves to study internal structures and tissue. A hand held device called a transducer is used to transmit and receive echo signals when placed against the skin. Clear gel is applied to your skin to provide better contact for the transducer. This gel wipes off easily. Ultrasound imaging also is called Sonography. Most studies are digitally transmitted to a Radiologist for review.  This provides the physician a timely result in an emergent situation and a quick turn around time for scheduled exams.
