Women's Services

Women's Services include pre-natal care, full maternity services, newborn and child care. Numerous other programs are available: health promotion through the Wellness Program, prevention education, screenings, diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of health issues specific to women. Classes are offered in early pre-natal care, prepared childbirth, breast feeding, C-section, and RTS Bereavement Services.

Women's Imaging provides ultrasound and upgraded mammography including stereotactic breast biopsy which is less invasive and less traumatic for women both physically and emotionally. Bone Densitometry, a test for osteoporosis, is available through our DEXA Scanner.

WCA Radiology Services Receive Accreditations for High Practice Standards

WCA Hospital has been awarded a 3-year term of accreditation in Mammography and Ultrasound as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology (ARC). The American College of Radiology, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the practice.

Improvements in Women's Imaging and Installation of Stereotactic Breast Biopsy Equipment

  • Renovations to the Women's Imaging area include a larger more comfortable waiting area for mammography, ultrasound and Stereotactic Breast Biopsy.
  • The WCA Women's Imaging Center has expanded services to include Stereotactic Breast Biopsy Equipment. Radiologists and Surgeons at WCA are now using this new effective breast biopsy technique that allows patients to resume normal activities almost immediately after the procedure.
  • Women can schedule a mammogram in 2-3 days.
