Sharing The Gift Of Health Campaign

The Capital Campaign for

Emergency Department Entrance

In December 2009, UPMC Chautauqua kicked off the largest capital campaign in our history with Sharing the Gift of Health. Under the leadership of our Campaign Chair, Lillian Vitanza Ney, M.D., UPMC Chautauqua has secured over $14.7 M toward the construction and equipping of our new Emergency Department.

Because of the generosity of literally thousands of individuals, businesses, organizations, and foundations, families in the Chautauqua Region are now benefiting from the improved design and services offered through our new Emergency Department since opening in November 2012.

Emergency Department Teddy Bear ClinicThis thoughtfully-designed, 18,000 square foot, 21st century Emergency Department features a patient-friendly design which includes twenty-seven private treatment rooms, two private triage rooms, and electronic medical records. The new front door of healthcare capitalizes on valuable improvements in space, privacy, and amenities, resulting in increased capacity, efficiency, and overall improvement in patient experiences.

The campaign is accepting gifts and pledges payable through December 31, 2013.
