UPMC Chautauqua WCA Kicks Off Workplace United Way Campaign


Jamestown, New York (Saturday, November 18, 2017)—In recognition of National Diabetes Awareness Month, the UPMC Chautauqua WCA diabetes, nutrition, and wellness teams will host “Learn About Diabetes”, a free forum that educates the public on preventative lifestyle techniques to prevent type 2 diabetes. Join the diabetes education experts on Tuesday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Main Lobby at 207 Foote Avenue. No registration is required.  Attendees receive a complimentary gift.

According to the American Diabetes Association®, prediabetes can be reversed, but knowing that you are at risk is the first step.  “Our intention is prevention,” says Toni DeAngelo, community outreach manager, UPMC Chautauqua WCA. “Explore and learn about diabetes risk factors and pointers that help protect your health so you can stay healthy and live an active life.”
