PAUL A. DESANTIS NAMED VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE/CFO AT WCA
Jamestown, New York (Monday, December 15, 2008.)—WCA Hospital, Southwestern New York’s largest not-for-profit health care provider, today announced it has appointed Paul A. DeSantis, MHA, CPA, as its Vice President of Finance/Chief Financial Officer (CFO). DeSantis will have overall responsibility for the financial strategic planning direction and finance management of the hospital.
DeSantis brings over 25 years of solid healthcare finance management and leadership to his new position. Prior to joining WCA, he served as Chief Executive Officer/Financial Director at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville, New York. DeSantis’s career includes experience in financial leadership and healthcare administration, operational improvements, budget development, business plan formulation, strategic planning direction, quality improvements, operations management, and contract negotiations.

A certified public accountant, DeSantis received his Master of Health Services Administration from Kennedy Western University, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. A committed community leader, Paul has served on numerous boards and executive, finance committees including, Elk Regional Professional Group, Elk Regional Health System Foundation, Elk Regional Health Center/System, Great Lakes Health Network, Ridgway Area School District, Elk County Catholic High School. He coached the Ridgway Wrestling Club/Junior Olympic Group and Little League baseball team.

Paul and his wife, Paula, have two grown children, Jonathan and Leslie. They also enjoy the company of their two dogs, Allie and Dusty. The DeSantis’s will reside in the Chautauqua County region.
